Last summer, Warrior Academy proudly served hundreds of Detroit boys through our Summer Enrichment Camp—delivering meaningful academic growth and life-changing experiences. Every student demonstrated measurable improvement in ELA and/or Math, helping them return to school in the fall more confident, prepared, and motivated to succeed.

 

Building on that success, Warrior Summer Camp 2026 raises the bar.

 

This year, campers will experience everything families loved last summer:

  • Entrepreneurship 

  • Construction 

  • Fashion 

  • Weekly Field Trips 

 

Mentorship and structured routines—plus exciting new opportunities designed to spark curiosity and engagement. 

 

New offerings include expanded gaming and technology experiences, interactive learning challenges, and creative outlets that meet boys where they are while still pushing them to grow.

 

Warrior Academy isn’t child care—it’s a launchpad for success for young men. We help young men strengthen their academic foundation, build discipline and confidence, and develop the mindset they need to win in school and in life.

Students who register for Summer Discovery programming must commit to attending programming throughout the summer. Summer Discovery is not a drop-in program, and it’s important for students to attend daily to receive the full benefits of the program. Will your student be able to attend at least 70% of the summer program days?

  1. For example, If a program is 20 days, a student would be expected to attend 14 or more of those days (70% attendance).  

  2. If a program is 25 days, a student would be expected to attend 18 or more of those days (70% attendance).

Liability Waiver and Indemnification Agreement


I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian of the above-named participant, hereby give permission for my child to participate in the Warrior Academy Summer Camp program hosted at Marygrove Conservancy from June 29 to July 31, 2026.


I understand that my child will participate in a variety of physical, academic, and enrichment activities, including field trips, which may involve inherent risks. I acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any risks or injuries that may occur during the course of participation.


By signing this agreement, I hereby waive, release, and discharge Warrior Academy, its staff, volunteers, affiliates, partners, and host site (University Prep Ellen Thompson), from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by my child while participating in or traveling to and from this program.


I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Warrior Academy and all affiliated parties from any claims, liabilities, or expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising from my child’s participation in the program.


I have read and fully understand this release of liability and indemnification agreement and sign it voluntarily.
